Kawasaki Ninja 1100SX launched in India: Here’s what you get at Rs 13.49 lakh – Bike News
There are no direct rivals of Kawasaki Ninja 1100SX in India but it could go up against the Triumph Tiger 900 GT which is priced at Rs 13.95 lakh (ex-showroom).
Kawasaki has brought in another Ninja to the fold. This time it’s the Ninja 1100SX which carries forward the legacy of the sports touring range of the Japanese superbike brand. Priced at Rs 13.49 lakh (ex-showroom), the Ninja 1100SX is a direct successor to the outgoing Ninja SX1000.
As of now, Kawasaki has only listed the motorcycle on its official Indian website. There are no clear details regarding its bookings and deliveries but we expect dispatches to begin from January 2025. Available in only the standard trim, Kawasaki is offering the Ninja 1100SX in a sole dual-tone Metallic Carbon Grey/Metallic Diablo Black.

Visually, there’s nothing much to differentiate from its predecessor. The design cues have been taken from the rest of the Ninja lineup which include a sharp front fairing with the twin LED headlights, a muscular front fairing, an adjustable windscreen, and a floating tail section with split seats and split grab handles.
Kawasaki Ninja 1100SX: Powertrain & Hardware specs
The biggest difference lies underneath with the new 1,099cc, inline-four replacing the 1,043cc motor from the 1000SX. The new motor makes 134 bhp at 9,000rpm and a peak torque of 113 Nm at 7,600rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox with a slip and assist clutch. The torque has been bumped up by 2 Nm from the previous model. Additionally, Kawasaki has adjusted the gearing, lengthening 5th and 6th gears for enhanced comfort during long rides and improved fuel economy.

As for hardware, the chassis is the same as the 1000SX which sits on 41mm inverted forks with compression, rebound and preload adjustability, and a monoshock with rebound and preload adjustability. Braking duties are handled by dual 300mm front disc brakes and a 10mm larger 260mm rotor at the rear aided by dual-channel ABS. The sports bike rolls on 17-inch alloy wheels shod with new Bridgestone Battlax S23 tyres.

Coming to dimensions, the Ninja 1100SX gets a wheelbase of 1,440mm, ground clearance of 135mm, seat height of 820mm and a fuel tank capacity of 19 litres. Being a flagship Ninja, the SX1100 is loaded with all gizmos including a 4.3-inch TFT instrument console with twin layouts displaying information like G-Force, lean angles and other riding data for sporty riding.

Other notable amenities include voice command, USB-C charging port Bluetooth connectivity and in-built navigation through Kawasaki’s Rideology application. It also offers a comprehensive suite of electronics which comprise traction control (including cornering traction control as well), cruise control, a bi-directional quick-shifter, power modes, and three riding modes: Sport, Road and Rain along with a customisable Rider mode as well.
