Provider of electronic price signs PWM GmbH & Co. KG has achieved the globally recognized ISO 14001 certification for environmental management, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable production while keeping operations rooted in Germany.
The certification highlights PWM’s efforts to minimize its environmental impact through resource-efficient processes across production, logistics, and material usage.
“Protecting the environment is fundamental to our values as a family business. Achieving ISO 14001 confirms our dedication to sustainable practices,” said Dr. Max F. Krawinkel, Managing Director of PWM.
As part of its strategy to modernize production and reduce energy consumption, PWM has invested in advanced manufacturing technologies, including the TruPunch 5000. The machine significantly improves efficiency, operating 40–50% faster than its predecessor while maintaining a similar energy footprint. Features like automated material handling, tool management, and remote monitoring further optimize production, ensuring seamless operations with reduced resource use.
PWM’s integration of sustainable technologies reflects a broader effort to maintain production within Germany, where environmental and operational standards are high. By leveraging automation, resource efficiency, and intelligent systems, PWM achieves environmental objectives while bolstering its competitiveness in a globalized market.
