With its sprawling footprint from the hills to the ocean, there’s no shortage of shopping destinations in Los Angeles. This past year amplified that, with a plethora of new stores opening across the city, from glitzy flagships on Rodeo Drive to hidden gems tucked into neighborhoods. Below, take a look at some of the city’s best offerings — a guide to the latest store openings in Los Angeles.
Delvaux

Come for the historied luxe leather bags, stay for the museum-worthy decor. Delvaux’s second store in the United States, following its Fifth Avenue shop in New York City, opened its doors at South Coast Plaza this November, and it’s a decadent fusion of French and Californian design. The 1,200-square-foot store showcases its bestsellers Le Brillant, Le Tempête, and Le Pin amid vintage furniture from Europe, breeze block and midcentury modern architectural flourishes. There’s room to linger in the salon-like setting, whether on curved velvet furniture or at the free-standing bar.

There’s nothing quiet luxury about Loro Piana’s glitzy new store on Rodeo Drive. With a selling area of 7,776 square feet, the new flagship is almost four times bigger than the brand’s previous Beverly Hills location. Outside, the store’s Tuscan tile-laid facade reflects the light with the same textural movement as its supple cashmere fabrics. Inside, the interiors, designed by the Loro Piana in-house team, immerse shoppers in a warm color palette with oak and the brand’s recurring Carabottino wood details, silk carpets, raffia, Venini chandeliers and silk wall coverings. In addition to its menswear, womenswear and home offerings, the store houses a VIP room on the third floor reserved for clients who request a private appointment, as well as a terrace.

This year, Givenchy opened its first permanent store in Los Angeles on Rodeo Drive, with an architectural pedigree. The Frank Lloyd Wright-designed building, also known as the Anderton Court Shops, houses 8,000 square feet of menswear, womenswear and accessories, and beckons shoppers with an angular ramp like the one in New York’s Guggenheim Museum, also designed by Wright. Store offerings include modern eveningwear, tailored pieces, standout denim, the complete line of handbags with multiple variations of the Voyou, and exclusive pieces like a limited-edition shark lock cowboy boot in white leather with turquoise stitching and the Rodeo Drive limited-edition mini Antigona lock bag in white leather with turquoise strasse stitching.

Guest in Residence

Guest in Residence
The second Guest in Residence Store has the same personal touches that made the first location — on New York City’s Bond Street — feel like home. Specifically, Gigi Hadid’s home. The creative director approached the new Beverly Hills flagship with a warmth that mirrors the feeling of walking into her personal dwelling. Dreamed up in collaboration with Yaoska Interiors — which imparted the same coziness to Bond Street — the 1,000-square-foot store houses Guest in Residence’s fall 2024 and winter 2024 collection, with plans to build on that in the future with exclusive drops. The cashmere-centric offerings are showcased amid Doug fir-paneled and lime-washed walls — in a “cashmere” hue — and plaid armchairs aside a fireplace.

Toteme’s L.A. flagship is the architectural embodiment of its signature understated flair. The Melrose Avenue store is a mashup of Swedish-serene and Art Moderne design, with its Italian beige sandstone facade, giant porthole windows, and succulent plantings. Designed by Swedish studio Halleroed, the 2,600-square-foot space showcases Toteme’s coveted outerwear, including the wool blend blanket jacket with fringe, the “Signature” coat with draped face-framing shawl collar that comes in cashmere and now linen, and the “Signature” trench with double wrap belted cuffs.

Jeans are art and wearable art at L’Agence’s first retail outpost on Melrose Place in West Hollywood. The 1,100-square-foot space is an ode to denim, with a curated row of jeans in different silhouettes and washes, neatly hanging on a metal installation as the store’s centerpiece. The L’Agence Jean Bar takes the guesswork out of shopping for jeans, allowing customers to work with a stylist to find their perfect style and fit with help, whether from the styles hanging or from an iPad. After outlining the basics, customers can see a range of denim options made in Los Angeles, starting at $245.

Sunspel
Sunspel L.A.
Silver Lake’s shopping corridor along Sunset Boulevard expanded with Sunspel this past year. The English label, founded in 1860 by Thomas A. Hill who started with high-quality underwear and later branched out to T-shirts, boxer shorts and casualwear, opened its doors with an 850-square-foot space. The store includes the brand’s signature T-shirts, boxer shorts and polo shirts — including the Riviera Polo shirt made famous by Daniel Craig in the James Bond movie “Casino Royale” — and womenswear, from sweaters to shirts, T-shirts, trousers, vests, underwear and accessories.
