Calvin Klein to Make New York Runway Comeback in February with Veronica Leoni’s Debut Collection
Calvin Klein will return to the New York runway in February after a six-and-a-half-year hiatus.
The brand, owned by PVH Corp., will present Veronica Leoni’s debut Calvin Klein Collection for fall 2025. It will be an intimate showing of both women’s and men’s looks and will take place at noon on Feb. 7.
For years Calvin Klein’s fashion shows were a linchpin of New York Fashion Week.
“Calvin Klein is thrilled to return to the global stage at New York Fashion Week and unveil Veronica Leoni’s creative vision for the Calvin Klein Collection,” said Eva Serrano, Calvin Klein global brand president. “Veronica’s debut marks a new era of innovation and creativity, embracing a fresh vision for the brand while honoring its iconic heritage. We can’t wait to share it with the world.”
The last Calvin Klein runway show was in September 2018, when the brand was under the creative direction of Raf Simons. His spring 2019 collection paid homage to American pop culture classics like “Jaws” and “The Graduate.” The Collection line, which Simons renamed 205W39NYC after the brand’s New York headquarters, was put on hiatus in March 2019 following Simons’ departure and is now being revitalized under Leoni’s creative direction.
Leoni joined Calvin Klein last May as creative director of Collection. A 2023 LVMH Prize finalist and founder of Quira, Leoni has worked for such brands as Jil Sander, Celine, Moncler and, most recently, The Row, where she was womenswear and menswear design director, in addition to Quira.
Steven Kolb, chief executive officer of the Council of Fashion Designers of America, said, “Calvin Klein Collection’s return to New York Fashion Week marks a moment for New York and the global fashion industry. The brand has been an integral part of shaping American fashion, pushing boundaries with its bold take on minimalism, and we are excited to have them back on the Official NYFW Schedule and look forward to celebrating the brand’s latest chapter.”
As reported, Calvin Klein is also getting back into the New York retail scene, with plans to open a new flagship next year in SoHo. A 7,294-square-foot store will open at 530 Broadway, a renovated property reimagined by real estate development firm Shvo. The company anticipates opening the store by the end of 2025.
Following the opening of its Paris flagship last June, Calvin Klein continues to expand its retail footprint with flagship openings in key markets around the globe.
