“With India’s inherent strengths and strong supportive policy framework by the centre and states, India is all poised to reap its benefits,” said the AEPC’s chairman Sudhir Sekhri, the Press Trust of India reported. “With end to end value chain capability, a strong raw material base, and factories focusing on sustainable responsible business practices, India will surely see substantial growth in times to come.”

The AEPC is confident that more global apparel orders will move to India in the future, ET Retail reported. The traders’ body interprets the growth in Indian orders to also represent growing global trust in the country’s manufacturing capabilities and aims to continue to draw international trade opportunities to India through its upcoming trade show Bharat Tex Expo 2025.

“We have been to various countries during the Bharat Tex Roadshow and have received phenomenal responses from international buyers and retail chains,” said Sekhri. “I am sure this platform will enable great collaboration and expand sourcing networks while promoting foreign direct investment in India.”
