Nothing OS 3.0, which is based on Android 15, is now rolling out for select Nothing Phone models. The company has also confirmed that other models in its lineup will be getting the stable update in early 2025. To get the update, users can access Settings > System Update on their Phone 2 and Phone 2a devices. If you still haven’t got the update, expect that to happen in the next few days. By the end of 2024, the stable version of Nothing OS 3.0 will be released to all users in stages, spanning devices and geographical locations. The new version is a chunky update of around 1.75 GB so make sure you have enough battery in the tank to let it install on the device.

The Nothing OS 3.0 stable upgrade will soon be made available to other Nothing-branded and sub-brand handsets. It is scheduled to be available to Nothing Phone 1, Phone 2a Plus, and CMF Phone 1 customers in early 2025.

Moreover, the Nothing OS 3.0 upgrade brought shared widgets, which are currently only compatible with Nothing devices. Users may already share Photo Widgets (square) with this capability, and the business is working on adding support for sharing other widgets.

With the Nothing OS 3.0 release, Nothing has also hinted at a Countdown Widget, which will be accessible on Google Play later this month through the Nothing Widgets app. It presents the Smart Drawer, an AI-powered tool that lets users automatically group their apps into folders.

The stable version of Nothing OS 3.0 includes many improvements, including improved Quick Settings, a more polished Pop-up view, better typography, and performance and cosmetic upgrades. Additionally, the company introduced the native Nothing Gallery app, which boasts enhanced editing capabilities including filters, markup, and suggestions, as well as features like sophisticated search.
