Here’s a list of vehicles that have been discontinued and are no longer in the market.

As 2024 draws to a close, it’s also time to say goodbye to some beloved vehicles that are hanging up their boots. Interestingly, our list features quite a few electric vehicles. So, buckle up, sit back, and join us in paying your final respects to these departing cars.

Mahindra Marazzo

It may come as a surprise to some, but Mahindra Marazzo was still lingering in the market until recently. In its final month, the MUV managed to sell just nine units in November. Although Mahindra pulled the plug on the MPV in July 2024 by removing it from their official website, it’s now officially off the market, as reported by CarDekho. The Marazzo was powered by a 1.5-litre diesel engine producing 121 bhp at 3,500 rpm and 300 Nm of torque between 1,750–2,500 rpm, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission.

Hyundai Kona Electric

Hyundai Kona Electric made its debut in 2019 in India and has now called it a day. It was one of the first electric vehicles available in the Indian market. The Kona Electric continues to be available in the global market. Hyundai will introduce the Creta EV in January 2025, which will be the company’s most affordable EV in India. The Kona Electric was powered by 39.2 kWh with an output of 134 bhp and 395 Nm and a claimed range of 452 km. 

Jaguar I-Pace

Jaguar was one of the first premium automobile manufacturer to introduce an EV in the Indian market. The I-Pace was powered by a twin electric motors with a 90 kWh battery pack. It produced 394 bhp and 695 Nm, with a claimed range of up to 470 km. It does 0 – 100 kmph in 4.8 seconds and has a top speed of 200 kmph. Jaguar as a brand is going fully electric in 2025 and it will be interesting to see the new EV lineup. 

Mini Cooper SE and Countryman

Mini has updated its lineup in India by launching the Cooper S and for the first time the Countryman EV. The erstwhile all-electric Cooper SE was powered by a 32.6 kWh with a single electric motor. It churned out 181 bhp and 270 Nm and did 0 – 100 kmph in 7.3 seconds. The petrol-powered Countryman, on the other hand, had a 2-litre with 175 bhp and 280 Nm and did 0 – 100 kmph in 7.5 seconds. It was mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
