In its latest quarterly newsletter, the Hamilton Music Collective (HMC)  reported that its teachers in the An Instrument For Every Child program are providing music instruction and access to instruments for over 650 students across Hamilton in their school or community centre. The program is offered in partnership with the HWDSB and HWCDSB and the Kiwanis Boys and Girls Club, as well as at the HMC homebase The HMC Centre for Performance and Education at The Gasworks, 141 Park Street North in downtown Hamilton.

Fundraising for An Instrument for Every Child will continue with the HMC’s winter 2025 concert series. The Soundhaus Studio continues to provide more creative opportunities to students and professional musicians from the public who are seeking an affordable and unique recording .

HMC recently raised nearly $36,000 through its Giving Tuesday Music Matters campaign which was bolstered by a local sponsor. In addition, the Hamilton Golf and Country Club Foundation has made a three-year commitment to HMC starting with a cheque for $30,000.
