May gintong saya at aral! Marcos urges Filipinos to watch MMFF films
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Thursday called on Filipinos to support the country’s film industry by watching any of the 10 films featured in the Metro Manila Film Festival 2024.
In a video message for the MMFF which opened on Christmas Day, Marcos enticed the public to take advantage of the two-week film fest, which is celebrating its 50th year.
He vouched for the 10 films taking part in the MMFF as stories of the Filipino people and their culture that would surely entertain and educate moviegoers.
“Ang mga magagandang pelikulang kalahok ngayon ng Golden Year ng MMFF ay siguradong magbibigay ng gintong saya at mag-iiwan ng mga ginintuang aral,” Marcos said.
He went on: “Tangkilikin po natin ang kwentong Pilipino.
The President’s video message is currently being played in cinemas during the MMFF from December 25 to January 7. Only MMFF entries are shown in theaters during the two-week film festival.
