Chanel’s red camellia cream
French luxury house Chanel’s new No. 1 De Chanel skin plumping cream ($193), which contains red camellia extract, is the result of research done in partnership with the University of Vienna.
The collaboration studied the impact of various active skincare ingredients on cell and tissue vitality, particularly with respect to cellular ageing. Results showed that red camellia extract was able to increase cell vitality by 67 per cent and boost tissue vitality mechanisms by 63 per cent.
In the wild, camellia plants can live up to 200 years old.
The brand claims that the No. 1 De Chanel red camellia cream can result in plumper skin within seven days of application and reduce wrinkles and pore size by 30 per cent after two months of use.

Onitsuka Tiger’s Astro Boy apparel

Japanese sports fashion brand Onitsuka Tiger has launched its second collection featuring popular Japanese manga character Astro Boy.
Astro Boy swops out his signature red boots for a pair in the brand’s iconic yellow hue, and appears on apparel such as caps ($160), T-shirts ($150) and ombre socks ($80).
Hoodies ($330), polo shirts ($220) and black bags with Astro Boy charms and yellow accents ($310 to $530) are also available.

Tom Ford’s new flagship store in Orchard Road

Luxury fashion label Tom Ford has opened a new flagship store at Paragon Shopping Centre.
The 426 sq m boutique, located on the first and second floors of the mall, carries men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, beauty products, leather goods, eyewear and underwear.
A made-to-measure service is also available for formal wear, evening wear and shirts.
The brand recently unveiled its Spring 2025 collection. The women’s collection, inspired by both 1960s modernism and 1990s minimalism, showcases flowing caftans, miniskirts in various fabrics, and gladiator sandals, among other pieces.
For the men, Tom Ford’s signature tailored suits are given a glam-rock twist with silk shirts and animal print blouses.

Glow Recipe’s cloudberry moisturiser

Glow Recipe has a new facial moisturiser, the Cloudberry Bright Moisture Cream ($65), which is suitable for all skin types.
It contains the trending skincare ingredient cloudberry, which comes from a herbaceous plant that grows in Arctic and subarctic climates in places such as Norway and Sweden. It is known for being rich in vitamin C and omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, which brighten and moisturise the skin.
Other key ingredients include CoQ10 to support collagen production and ginger root extract to soothe and even out the complexion.
