Katha Kamamishu Aha, OTTplay Premium January 2, 2025

The announcement came alongside a stylish new poster, confirming that Katha Kamamishu will skip its theatrical release and premiere directly on Aha on January 2, 2025. Written and directed by Gautham and Karthik on a modest budget, the film features several notable characters in key roles.

Director Karuna Kumar, known for Palasa and the recently released Matka, will appear in a fun role, paired with yesteryear actress Indraja. The cast also includes Venkatesh Kakumani, Karthika Roy, and Krishna Prasad in significant roles.

Katha Kamamishu is produced by Chinna Vasudeva Reddy under the I Dream Media and Three Whistles Talkies banners. The music, composed by Dhruvan, has already caught attention, with the teaser’s background score standing out.

The film appears to center around a family in a small town and how a minor issue shifts their dynamics. The chemistry and setup featuring Karuna Kumar and Indraja seem authentic and grounded.

The makers initially faced challenges finding a distributor, believing that the film’s niche subject matter would perform better on OTT platforms. As a result, they sold the digital rights to Aha, which has been promoting the film extensively over the past two days.
