2025 Kawasaki Z900 launched in India: New design, updated features, price – Bike News

Bookings for the 2025 Kawasaki Z900 have already begun and deliveries are set to commence soon.

Kawasaki has launched the Z900 in India at a price of Rs 9.52 lakh (ex-showroom). In the latest iteration, the naked streetfighter has received a number of updates including additional features, revised styling, and new emission norms over the outgoing model. Available as a CBU in India, the Kawasaki Z900 goes up against Triumph Street Triple R and Ducati Monster.

The overall design of the 2025 Z900 continues to follow the same ‘Sugomi’ philosophy that is seen in the other naked streetfighters in the Kawasaki lineup. However, it features a new LED headlamp, a muscular fuel tank with sleekly integrated tank extensions, and a sharp tail section equipped with a redesigned LED taillight. The rider’s triangle remains unchanged despite improved cushioning on the seats.

The equipment of the Z900 witnesses some key upgrades over its predecessor. For starters, the street naked bike gets a 5-inch colour TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity along with turn-by-turn navigation via Kawasaki’s Rideology app. Besides convenience, the new Z900 gets updated electronics and safety features such as two power modes, a ride-by-wire throttle, ride modes, cruise control, a bi-direction quickshifter, cornering traction control, and cornering ABS.

Powering the Kawasaki Z900 is the same 948cc, inline-four-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that has now been updated to meet the Euro5+ emission norms. This mill pushes out 123 bhp and 97.4Nm of peak torque, while being paired with a six-speed gearbox.

In terms of hardware, the Kawasaki Z900 has received some minor but important updates. For instance, the braking system has been upgraded with Nissin calipers and dual 300mm front discs in place of axial callipers in the older model. Additionally, the previous Dunlop Sportmax Roadsport 2 tyres have been replaced with the higher-performance Dunlop Sportmax Q5A tyres. As for the chassis, the bike employs a steel trellis frame that is suspended on an adjustable USD fork and a monoshock. The bike continues to roll on 17-inch alloy wheels.
