Following vCreative Merger, PromoSuite Co-Founder Exits

Chris Bungo

Chris Bungo, an original founder of PromoSuite, which in February 2024 was acquired by  Banyan Software with the intention of merging it with vCreative, has stepped down from his Technology Consultant position.

He explains, “As a condition of the sale of PromoSuite to Banyan Software and subsequent merger with vCreative, I agreed to stay on for 2024 as a Technology Consultant.”

Now, Bungo is looking back on his tenure with pride as he steps aside.

“It has been a pleasure working with vCreative’s Senior VP of Technology David Singleton and his tech and development team,” he said. “Under the leadership of CEO Mary DelGrande, Senior VP of Product Operations Wendy Pershing and Singleton, the merged vCreative/PromoSuite is well-positioned to continue to maintain their client’s success.”

Bungo created PromoSuite with fellow co-founder Rocco Macri, bringing to market the radio industry’s first “workflow software” tool in 1992.

For Macri, his time will now be focused on the recently launched SportsRantNY.com; Bungo says he is devoting his full-time efforts to his long-time hobby. Introducing ChrisBungoStudios.com — the world’s largest catalog of “then and now” filming
locations documentaries with sites dating back to 1915.

Bungo explained, “Over the past ten years, I’ve created close to 150 filming location documentary videos and assembled around 2,000 ‘then and now’ filming location photo comparisons. Everything from early Charlie Chaplin films and The Little Rascals, to The Twilight Zone, Madonna music videos and even The Sopranos locations. It’s a fascinating way to time-travel, and while it’s been a hobby until now, I’m looking forward to devoting my attention to it full-time.”
