PH to be premier film tourism destination
First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos on Wednesday met with several government agencies to work on promoting the Philippines as a topnotch film tourism destination.
The First Lady shared snapshots of her meeting with Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco and representatives of other government agencies on her social media accounts on Friday.
“Proud to work with our dedicated government agencies to find ways to support our movie industry and help promote our country as a premier film tourism destination!” Araneta-Marcos said.
She gushed: “With our breathtaking landscapes and rich cultural heritage, the Philippines can truly be a filmmaker’s dream. Let’s work together to make our country the next big thing in the global film stage!”
The First Lady is a patron and advocate of culture and the arts, especially preserving the country’s historical and cultural heritage as well as further developing its rich film industry.
On Thursday, she also raved over “Green Bones” which won the Best Picture Award in the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival. Araneta-Marcos watched the film at the Uptown Mall in Taguig City on Tuesday.
She reiterated her support for the country’s film industry and urged Filipinos to “show the world how much talent we have to offer.”
