Hosiery manufacturers in Tiruppur demand insurance scheme for credit

The hosiery manufacturers in Tiruppur have demanded an insurance scheme similar to the insurance offered by the Export Credit Guarantee Corporation for loans given to exporters.

This was discussed at a meeting the South India Hosiery Manufacturers Association (SIHMA) had recently in Tiruppur with the Federation of Hosiery Manufacturers Association.

The hosiery manufacturers also decided to appeal to the Central government to deactivate the GST accounts of dealers who had defaulted in payments to the garment manufacturers.

The two associations decided to meet the Central government ministers and officials in this regard soon and submit a joint representation.
