Two Connacht referees will have the whistle for next Sunday’s AIB All-Ireland club senior finals in Croke Park.

Galway’s Liam Gordon will referee the hurling decider between Na Fianna and Sarsfields (1.30) before Roscommon’s Paddy Neilan takes charge of the football showdown between Cuala and Errigal Ciarán (3.40).

History is bound to be made on the double, with all four clubs appearing in their first All-Ireland final at that particular code. Cuala have already won a brace of All-Ireland club hurling titles in 2017 and ’18, with the Dublin champions now hoping to join St Finbarr’s of Cork as the only ‘dual’ All-Ireland winning club at senior level.
