New Delhi: India Energy Week 2025 (IEW 2025), the flagship energy event of the Government of India, will be held from February 11 to 14 at the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre in New Delhi. Organized by the Federation of Indian Petroleum Industry (FIPI) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, the event is set to attract over 70,000 delegates from 120 countries, making it one of the largest energy events globally.
The conference will bring together 70 CEOs of international and domestic energy companies, 20 energy ministers, and senior officials from advanced economies, energy-producing nations, and key members of the Global South. The event will also host over 700 exhibitors and feature 10 country pavilions, including representations from the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, and Russia.
Strategic themes and focus areas
IEW 2025 incorporates seven key strategic themes: collaboration, resilience, transition, capacity, digital frontiers, innovation, and leadership. These themes aim to address pragmatic solutions for global energy challenges, including decarbonization, energy equity, and the development of low-carbon economies.
This year’s event will cover 20 thematic categories, compared to 18 in the previous edition, with topics ranging from artificial intelligence and digitalization to maritime decarbonization and grid-scale energy storage. Key sessions will focus on clean power pathways, methane mitigation technologies, and future energy transitions.
Indian participation and government support
The event will witness participation from key Indian ministries, including the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Ministry of Power, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), NITI Aayog, and the Ministry of Mines and Minerals. This integrated approach underscores India’s commitment to fostering collaboration across the energy sector and achieving its ambitious renewable energy goals.
Showcasing India’s Energy leadership
The event will highlight India’s efforts in strengthening energy security, promoting energy justice, and amplifying the voice of the Global South. It will also showcase investment opportunities in India’s hydrocarbon sector and advancements in renewable energy technologies, including green hydrogen, 2G and 3G biofuels, green ammonia, and battery storage.
Side events and innovation
IEW 2025 will feature high-impact side events, including the Clean Cooking Ministerial, which aims to accelerate the global adoption of clean cooking solutions. The event will showcase initiatives such as the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) as a model for driving access to clean cooking energy.
The Avinya Energy Startup Challenge 2.0 will also be held, providing startups an opportunity to present innovative energy solutions. The top five startups will gain exclusive visibility at the event. Nearly 3,000 technical papers have been submitted for presentation, a 29% increase from the previous edition.
Workshops and masterclasses by international experts will be organized for students, entrepreneurs, and innovators, offering free access to encourage participation and skill development.
Exhibition details
The exhibition will feature eight thematic zones and free entry for visitors on all days. It aims to foster global collaboration by showcasing breakthrough energy technologies and facilitating discussions on sustainable solutions.
Pankaj Jain, Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, said, “IEW 2025 offers a platform for global stakeholders to exchange ideas, explore opportunities, and witness India’s leadership in navigating energy transitions. The event serves as a springboard for collaboration on key projects such as green hydrogen, solar innovations, and advanced exploration techniques.”
