News regarding whether Kingston-born actor Tom Holland is engaged to Zendaya has been blowing up in the news recently.

TMZ hinted at the engagement after Zendaya attended the Golden Globes Awards on Sunday 5 January.

The actress, who is known for her roles in Euphoria and Challengers, wore a Louis Vuitton ballgown and diamond jewellery from Bulgari.

The diamond on the actress’s ring-finger was not included in the press release about the jewellery she wore at the awards.

Speculations rose about the button ring reportedly designed by Jessica McCormack, a London based jeweller.

However, Holland’s father, Dominic Holland, an author and comic, who lives in Coombe Park, has now confirmed the engagement on his personal platform Patreon.

In the post, he said: “I could serve up scoop after scoop and any revelations would attract thousands, even millions of new Patrons and a gargantuan income. More money than my jokes or books have ever mustered, albeit at the cost of my close and happy family.

“The big news this week is a good example of just such an opportunity for me – are they/aren’t they engaged? Zendaya wearing a ring and Tom nowhere to be seen adding to the intrigue.

“The engagement has now been confirmed and why I am writing about it here but without adding anything new and juicy like a date, venue, guest list…”

He continued: “”Tom, as you know by now was very incredibly well prepared. He had purchased a ring. He had spoken with her father and gained permission to propose to his daughter. Tom had everything planned out…

“For most blokes, the stress of purchasing an engagement ring is being able to afford it. I suspect that this was the least of Tom’s worries, more concerned with the stone, it’s size and clarity, its housing, which jeweller…”

Tom Holland bought a £3m home in Richmond back in 2018, close to his childhood home in Kingston where his parents reside.

Zendaya reportedly moved into the Richmond home back in 2023, as their relationship was getting more serious.
