Messika appoints luxury veteran as Chief Brand Officer at ‘pivotal’ moment
Messika, the luxury jewellery brand that is on the top of countless wish lists, has today announced the appointment of Edouard Schneider, whose CV includes Louis Vuitton, Acne Studios and Maison Margiela, as its Chief Brand Officer.
Messika was born in Paris in 2005 and is run by Valérie Messika, daughter of the famous diamond merchant André Messika. In recent years, Messika has won over the hearts of countless clientele thanks to its diamond safety pin motif. It’s currently stocked in Harrods, Selfridges and Boodles in the UK.
Schneider will report directly to Valérie Messika, Creative Director and Founder of the Maison. He will be responsible for overseeing all communication and brand image activities across the group, including its international subsidiaries.
According to Messika, his areas of oversight will include “public relations, celebrity partnerships, events, social media, brand image, and visual merchandising”.
Schneider brings over 20 years of extensive experience in the luxury and fashion industries. He joins Messika following a 6.5 year stint as Global Communication Director & Head of French Division at Acne Studios. Prior to this, he held significant leadership positions at Louis Vuitton and Maison Margiela.
