Air India to run daily flights between Delhi and Prayagraj- The Week

Air India has announced it will run daily flights between Prayagraj, where the once-in-12-year Mahakumbh has been underway since yesterday (Monday), and Delhi, its national hub. The flights will commence from next week and will continue till the end of next month.

To meet the high travel demand, Air India will operate the route from 25 January to 28 February 2025. With these flights, Air India brings the only full-service flying option between the two cities for customers, offering them the choice of premium cabins in addition to Economy Class, according to a statement released by the Tata-owned airline on Tuesday evening.

In January, the flight departs Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport at 2.10 in the afternoon and reaches Prayagraj (formerly Allahabad) at 3.20, with the return flight embarking at 4 pm and reaching the national capital at 5.10 pm. 

In February, the timings change slightly, with the onward flight leaving at 1 pm and reaching 2.10 pm while the return flight leaves at 2.50 pm and reaches 4 pm.

These timings, according to the Gurugram-based airline, will offer seamless connectivity via Delhi to those travelling from other parts of the country, as well as North America, Europe, Australia and several countries in Southeast Asia.

The bookings for this temporary flight are being progressively opened through its website, app and travel agents, the airline said.
