Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 Spotted in India with Upside-Down Fork and Dual Front Disc Brakes

After being spotted overseas earlier this month, the Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 has now been seen on our roads, hinting at an imminent launch. While the test model is fully covered, we can still catch a glimpse of its design, which seems to draw heavy inspiration from the Himalayan 450, with elements like a circular LED headlamp, a robust fuel tank, a tall windscreen, and a sleek tail. The bike also seems to sport a modern LED taillight with built-in turn signals. Other highlights include an upright riding stance and an upswept exhaust. 

Hardware-wise, the spotted 750cc Himalayan has an upside-down (USD) fork at the front and a monoshock rear suspension. It also features wire-spoke wheels, likely 19 inches in the front and 17 inches at the rear, along with twin disc brakes at the front. As for its tech features, the Himalayan 750 is expected to include switchable ABS and other premium features found on larger motorcycles. The images reveal that it retains the 5-inch round TFT display, similar to the one on the Himalayan 450 and Bear 650, offering functionalities like smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation.

The upcoming Himalayan will have a 750cc parallel-twin engine, possibly a liquid-cooled one, replacing the current 650cc unit. This same engine is being evaluated for the upcoming Interceptor and Continental GT models. While specific power output has not yet been revealed, the 750cc parallel-twin unit is anticipated to generate more than the 47bhp and 52Nm of torque produced by the 650cc engine.

Royal Enfield has not revealed the launch date for the Himalayan 750, industry sources, however, indicate that the bike could arrive in India by late 2025 or early 2026.

Other Highlights

The Royal Enfield Interceptor 750 was spotted undergoing tests earlier this month, revealing a few significant updates including a revised exhaust system. Cosmetically, the bike has a newly designed LED taillight and round LED turn indicators. The spoked wheels of the Interceptor 650 are replaced with alloy wheels.

Despite these updates, the overall design remains familiar, retaining the iconic fuel tank, retro-inspired round LED headlamp, and side panels.
