Madha Gaja Raja box office collection day 2
When filmmaker Sundar C and actor Vishal’s Madha Gaja Raja was announced as part of Pongal releases this year, it stirred excitement among audiences who have been anticipating the film’s release for 12 years. Finally, Madha Gaja Raja saw the daylight on January 12 (Sunday).
The film collected Rs 3 crore on day one of its release, followed by another Rs 3 crore on its second day. The total collection for Madha Gaja Raja stands at Rs 6 crore so far since its two days of theatrical run. Madha Gaja Raja has released only in Tamil so far, and has already been declared as a Pongal winner, given films like Vanangaan and Madraskaaran did not fare well with the audience.
Audiences as well as critics have been giving good reviews for the film, which was made at the time when actor Santhanam, who plays the lead now, had been playing side comic roles. With Santhanam’s one-liners resonating with the audience, the appearance of late actors like Manivannan and Manobala also struck a chord with fans.

Vijay Antony scored the music for the film. The song, Dear Loveru, crooned by Vishal, has evoked nostalgia among fans, who heard the song about a decade before.
