Frank James to Replace Don Wehby as CEO of Grace Kennedy Limited
Grace Kennedy Limited has announced a significant leadership change as the Group CEO, Don Wehby, is set to retire next month.
In a statement on Tuesday, Grace Kennedy says Mr. Wehby will demit office on February 14, 2025, coinciding with the company’s 103rd anniversary.
Wehby, who joined GraceKennedy in 1995 and took on the role of Group CEO in 2011, will also step down from the Board of Directors.
Current CEO of GraceKennedy’s Domestic Foods Division, Frank James, has been named as Wehby’s successor.
James will assume the position of Group CEO and join the Board of Directors on the same date as Wehby’s retirement.
James joined GraceKennedy in 2005 as Vice President of Strategic Planning and Corporate Development.
The conglomerate says during Wehby’s tenure, Grace Kennedy achieved remarkable growth, more than doubling its revenue from 58 billion dollars in 2011 to one-hundred-and-fifty-five billion dollars in 2023.
It says his leadership was marked by strategic expansions through mergers and acquisitions, transforming the company into one of the Caribbean’s largest and most dynamic entities.
Mr. Wehby, who also sat as a Government Senator, also relinquished that role last year, citing health reasons.
