Real-Life Weight Loss Story: Weight loss is a journeys subjective. It requires an emotional, mental and physical investment of different levels. The route, time and destination can be different for different people. Everyone has their own story to glory. Everyone comes with their own sets of reasons for how, when and why they embarked on this mission. For Dimple Clarke it was a detachment from herself she felt after her second pregnancy.

Speaking exclusively with India.com she said, “After my second baby, I felt like I was drifting away from myself. I had a C-section, and it took a toll on me emotionally and physically. I didn’t recognise the person in the mirror, and I hated the way I looked. I felt so disconnected from my own body, and the exhaustion was overwhelming. Lifting my newborn became a struggle, and I knew something had to change. I had studied fitness and nutrition, and I was a coach myself, but postpartum is a completely different experience.”

Clarke, is a mother of two who believes in not rushing into the process but her major focus is her long term health and fitness.  It is essential to comprehend that there are n quick fixes. It is a long well being journey of dedication and consistency.

Dimple Clarke lost almost 24 kgs in ver a year by adhering to a dedicated diet and exercise routine. Here is her inspiring postpartum weight loss journey of embarking on a happier and healthier life and how!

What Was Your Weight Loss Diet And Routine?

My diet was tailored to my lifestyle and eating habits. Since time was always limited, I kept things simple and balanced. For breakfast, I would have a bread omelette with a cup of tea, and for snacks, it was usually fruits and whey protein. My lunch and dinner consisted of dal, rice, and chicken-easy to prepare and nourishing for my body.

Clarke highlighted the fact that her Coach Vinodh on the Fittr app understood her needs as a breastfeeding mom and created a diet plan that worked for me without compromising the milk supply. That support made all the difference.

Did You Completely Cut Down on Sugar?

Not at all. Coach Vinodh helped me understand that it’s okay to enjoy my favourite treats, like ice cream and desserts, as long as I was mindful of portion sizes. It was all about balance and moderation.

Did You Have Cheat Meals?

I had the freedom to enjoy eating out based on my macros. All my meals were planned and quantified, so I could still indulge without guilt. My go-to cheat meal really depends on my mood—sometimes it’s a slice of pizza, other times it’s a warm, gooey chocolate cake.

What is One Rule That You Abide by For Losing Weight?

The “all or nothing” mindset never works for me. I’ve learned that it’s better to take it one day at a time. Some days I could give 100%, but other days it was only 80%, and that was okay. Consistency, even in small efforts, is what really counts.

What Was One Thing That Worked Best For You?

As I mentioned, the idea of giving my 80% on some days helped me stay consistent. Even on days I couldn’t do everything perfectly, I still showed up and did my best. That small effort made a big difference in the long run.

One Challenge That You Faced And How Did You Overcome it?

For new moms, it is not easy to navigate the new way of life. One of my biggest challenges was finding time for exercise while caring for my baby. My little one wanted to be with me all the time, so I found ways to incorporate her into my routine. I would use an ergonomic baby carrier and walk or do exercises with her safely in tow. It wasn’t always easy, but I made it work.

Is There a Weight Loss Myth That You Got to Know About During Your Journey?

Yes, I’ve heard people say that getting a flat belly after a C-section is impossible. That couldn’t be further from the truth. It’s absolutely possible to regain a flat belly, even after two C-sections like mine. I’m living proof of that, and I’ve seen so many others achieve the same goal.

Once a regular girl is today helping all other women out there who need help to anchor themselves with their body again. For someone who has been on the other side, understands it better. That is how Clarke started her journey as a fitness coach herself!

“After my transformation, and with the knowledge I gained in nutrition and fitness, I’ve developed a deep passion for helping other new moms regain their strength and confidence. I specialise in helping them heal Diastasis Recti and get their flat belly back using a scientific, sustainable approach. But really, being fit is about so much more than just having a flat belly. It’s about feeling strong, healthy, and confident in your body again. Now, I’m proud to work with FITTR, where I help people reach their best shape—physically and mentally,” she says.

Every bead of sweat, dedication and consistency is worth it all!
