Dr. Stone’s fourth and final season is called Science Future. Like many other series, Dr. Stone’s final season is being split into several parts. The decision is quite polarizing, but it does more good than bad, which is why many series go down this path.
Dr. Stone Science Future will be divided into multiple parts. The first part began airing on January 10, 2025. It has been confirmed that part 1 will run for 12 episodes. This means fans can watch Senku’s adventures uninterrupted for 12 episodes. There is a chance more information related to the other part of the final season will be revealed at the upcoming AnimeJapan event. It has been confirmed that Dr. Stone will be participating in the event, so an announcement could be on the cards.

When it comes to the staff, the anime hasn’t made too many alterations. Shuhei Matsushita is directing the anime at TMS Entertainment. Yuko Iwasa is designing the characters, while Hiroaki Tsutsumi, Tatsuya Kato, and Yuki Kanesaka are composing the music.
Dr. Stone Is A Critically Acclaimed Series
Dr. Stone is written by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by Boichi. The manga began serialization in the Weekly Shonen Jump in March 2017, and it continued till March 2022. The chapters have been compiled into 27 volumes, all of which have sold well. According to the latest report, Dr. Stone’s manga has sold more than 17 million copies, which is an extremely respectable number.
Dr. Stone’s first season was announced in 2018, but it didn’t air until July 2019. The anime received mostly positive reviews, so it was obviously going to receive new seasons. The second season of Dr. Stone premiered in 2021, and the third season came out in 2023.
Following the success of the first three seasons, TMS Entertainment decided not to waste momentum. So, the studio got to work immediately.
