#4 UMD women’s hockey swept by #2 Ohio State

In a game that felt eerily similar to Friday night’s matchup, the 4th ranked UMD women’s hockey team fell to #2 Ohio State, 2-1 on Saturday.

The Bulldogs, similar to Friday, gave up a goal to the Buckeyes in the first three minutes of action. Unlike Friday, however, UMD would tie things up at 1-1 when Olivia Wallin scored on a powerplay.

UMD was outshot 46-14, and again, Ève Gascon was phenomenal, saving 44 shots, putting her weekend total at 102.

UMD will look to rebound against St. Thomas next Thursday, with puck drop coming at 7 p.m.
