Kartik Aaryan reveals his fitness secrets behind his toned body
He stuck to his diet every day, even eating the same tomato soup every night. “It was boring, but the results kept me motivated,” he said.
Actor Kartik Aaryan amazed fans with his transformation for Chandu Champion, a movie about Murlikant Petkar, India’s first Paralympics gold medalist. In an interview, Kartik shared the simple habits that helped him achieve a fit body.
Kartik said fixing his sleep routine made a big difference. “I was an insomniac before,” he shared. During the movie, he went to bed by 10:30 pm and woke up at 6:30 or 7 am. “You need at least 8 hours of sleep to stay fit,” he explained. Rest helped him recover and stay healthy.
Kartik said diet is more important than exercise. “Your abs are built in the kitchen, not the gym,” he explained. For 1.5 years, he followed a strict diet without sugar, very little gluten, fewer carbs, and more protein.

Kartik didn’t allow himself any cheat meals while preparing for the movie. But when not working on a role, he enjoys foods like chole bhature, aloo chaat, street food, and Chinese dishes. He also loves sweets like ice cream, pastries, and chocolates.
Kartik’s advice is to keep it simple. While his strict diet got his body fat to 7%, he said this isn’t necessary for everyone. He recommended eating healthy, staying active for at least an hour daily, and getting enough sleep.
