Foreign ministry lends legal help to Omani citizen stranded in India

Muscat: The Foreign Ministry of Oman has issued an official statement regarding a case involving an Omani citizen currently in India.

The case has garnered significant attention on social media over a lawsuit filed against the citizen by her relative.

This has resulted in a travel ban for the citizen until the case is resolved or an amicable settlement is reached between the concerned parties.

The Foreign Ministry emphasised that it is following the case keenly in cooperation  with the Omani Embassy in New Delhi.

A law firm has been hired to defend the citizen, and efforts are being made to encourage the involved parties to resolve their family disputes amicably, while respecting the applicable laws.

The statement underscores the ministry’s commitment to ensuring the well-being of its citizens abroad and its efforts to provide legal support and mediation in such cases.
