Early music concert

On Friday, at 19:00, concert hall Collegium Musicum Riga (Vaļņu Street 9-3), you can tune in for a night of some early music masterpieces.

Quartets by German superstar Georg Philipp Telemann, better-known music by father and son Johann Sebastian and Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, and other instrumental music, rarely or perhaps never performed in Latvia, will be performed by soloists of the baroque orchestra Collegium Musicum Riga – Māris Kupčs, Aija Dimza, Elīna Vidriķe, Guna Jegorova. 

Tea, coffee, and some treats will be provided.

Winter feast in Sigulda

For the 7th time, the Sigulda Gourmet Festival “Celebrating Winter Flavors” will take place on Saturday, January 25, at the Livonian Order Sigulda Castle.

From 12:00 to 16:00, visitors will be invited to enjoy dishes prepared by the best chefs from Sigulda municipality and Riga-Gauja Region.

Special guests will be the music band Ducele, celloist Madara and DJ Edgars Bercis.

Family day “The Mysterious Animal of the Year”

We have reported that the Animal of the Year 2025 is the spiky but cute hedgehog. Latvian Natural History Museum invites families with children 5 to 12 years of age to a hedgehog-dedicated day on Saturday, January 25, 10:00 to 15:00.

You will be able to see the museum, learn about hedgehogs, do some trivia, and take part in creative workshops.

The museum is located at Krišjāņa Barona Street 4, Rīga, and is open Wednesday to Sunday 10:00 to 17:00.
