NCCE trains on export of “Value-added & Agri processed products”

The National Centre for Cooperative Education (NCCE) of NCUI successfully organized a three-day training program on the “Export of Agricultural, Processed, and Value-Added Products” from 21 to 23 January 2025.

This program brought together 40 representatives from nine states, including Jammu & Kashmir, Karnataka, Sikkim, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi.

The inaugural session on 21 January was presided over by Savitri Singh, Deputy Chief Executive, NCUI.

She warmly welcomed the participants and provided an overview of this newly designed course, which was developed in consultation with the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT). IIFT also recommended expert faculty for various sessions to ensure the quality and relevance of the training.

The program featured insightful sessions delivered by esteemed experts in the field. Dr. Rohit Mehtani, Professor of International Business Strategy at IIFT, conducted a session on the “Global Business Environment & International Trade Law.” Harpreet Singh, Regional Head, Chandigarh, and AGM, APEDA, presented a session on “Quality Assurance and Certification in Exports,” covering essential topics such as ISO, HACCP, organic certification, and the role of APEDA.

Dr. Charu Grover, Professor at IIFT, conducted an informative session on “Shipping Documents and Port Authority Procedures.”

On 23 January, participants had the opportunity to visit the National Cooperative Exports Limited (NCEL), where NCEL officials conducted an engaging session highlighting the role of cooperative organizations in exports.

They emphasized NCEL’s role as an umbrella organization that supports and facilitates cooperative exports.

The program concluded with the distribution of certificates to all participants, marking the successful completion of the training.

The initiative was highly appreciated by the attendees, reflecting NCCE’s commitment to empowering cooperative leaders in the field of agricultural exports.
