Audi supports STEM Education with R500 000 donation
Audi South Africa has significantly contributed to STEM education by donating R500 000 to the Kutlwanong Centre for Maths, Science and Technology. This generous donation follows the successful auction of the final edition Audi RS6 Avant GT, a vehicle that represents the pinnacle of Audi engineering.
A portion of the auction proceeds was earmarked for a charitable cause, aligning with Audi’s commitment to social responsibility. The Kutlwanong Centre, a non-profit organisation dedicated to improving STEM education in South Africa, was chosen as the beneficiary.
Founded in 2005, Kutlwanong focuses on nurturing young talent in underserved communities, providing them with the necessary skills for successful careers in engineering, science, and technology. This aligns perfectly with Audi’s vision of progress and innovation.
Sascha Sauer, head of Audi South Africa, emphasised the importance of supporting STEM education in developing a skilled workforce for the future. “By empowering South Africa’s youth with these critical skills, we contribute to the growth of industries like automotive manufacturing,” he stated.
The R500 000 donation will enable Kutlwanong to expand its programmes and reach more young people, fostering a new generation of innovators and leaders. This partnership reflects Audi South Africa’s dedication to driving meaningful change beyond the automotive world.
