In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Kunickaa Sadanand said, “I took training from Pran Sahab in films. My first relationship was with his son, Sunil Sikand. I often used to sit with Pran Sahab.”

She further added, “Pran Sahab used to pack two (meals) and would tell stories of the industry, and I would just listen. He used to share his experiences. He used to say that one should reach the set on time. If it is said to arrive at 9 o’clock, then be ready by 9 o’clock after doing your makeup. It is not like leaving the house at 9 o’clock.”

During the conversation, Kunickaa revealed that Sunil was a possessive and jealous boyfriend. She said, “Whenever I was going to sign a film, he would ask whether I was dressed properly or not. This was visible… so he was like that.”

The actress recounted a harrowing incident at Mehboob Studios, where a producer attempted to make unwanted advances toward her.

She said, “The producer put his hand on me, and I got scared. I started thinking if he got angry, he would remove me from the movie, and I would be defamed. I called Pran Sahab’s son, and he told me over the phone not to mess with him again. People started fearing me after that, but I later realized that the word spread and people thought I had a very short-tempered boyfriend.”

Kunickaa Sadanand began her film career with the 1988 horror movie Kabrastan. Over the course of her career, she appeared in approximately 110 films, frequently portraying negative or bold characters.
