EaseMyTrip launches EasyVijay, virtual battlefield tourism platform

EaseMyTrip, one of India’s leading online travel platforms, today launched EasyVijay, a new battlefield tourism initiative that combines physical travel packages with virtual reality experiences of historic battle sites. The service was unveiled on January 26, 2025, coinciding with India’s Republic Day celebrations.

The shares of Easy Trip Planners Limited were trading at ₹13.95 down by ₹0.50 or 3.46 per cent on the NSE today at 10.10 am.

The platform offers travelers opportunities to visit battlefield locations both physically and through VR and AR technology-powered virtual tours. The service includes AI-powered personalized itineraries and exclusive dining events with war veterans, military strategists, and historians.

CEO and Co-Founder Rikant Pittie described EasyVijay as an initiative aimed at bridging history and travel through immersive experiences. The service will provide storytelling, curated tours, and interactions with defense experts at historic war sites.

EaseMyTrip, which has been profitable since its inception and is listed on both NSE and BSE, has been expanding its travel offerings beyond its core air ticket booking business. The company has grown at a CAGR of 47% during FY20-24 in profits before tax. Its current portfolio includes EasyDarshan for spiritual tourism and Explore Bharat for international tourists interested in Indian culture.

The company operates across major Indian cities and has international offices in seven countries, including the UAE, UK, USA, and New Zealand.
