Might Georgia football add anybody to 2025 signing class in February?
The February signing day is such an afterthought now that Rivals.com put out its final 2025 rankings last Wednesday, two weeks before what used to be the main signing day.
Georgia football finished No. 2 in the team rankings, just behind Texas. Ohio State, Alabama and Oregon rounded out the top five.
The only remaining unsigned players in the 247Sports Composite top 350 are offensive tackle Ty Haywood from Denton, Texas, at No. 18 and edge Zahir Mathis from Philadelphia at No. 73.
Michigan, Maryland and Florida State are among those contending for Mathis, according to On3. Haywood was previously an Alabama commitment and On3 reports he’s trending now to Michigan.
Georgia last signed players in the February signing period in 2022 when Dillon Bell, Christen Miller, Darris Smith, EJ Lightsey and Andrew Paul joined the class.
The program did sign offensive lineman Jahzare Jackson last summer.
The “regular” signing period begins Wednesday Feb. 5 and runs through April 1.
Coach Kirby Smart and his staff has been busy on the recruiting trail targeting 2026 prospects.
That means schools welcomed Smart on his ‘Kirby Copter’ as he made multiple stops.
Smart was in Nashville on Thursday night seeing 2026 5-star quarterback Jared Curtis in Nashville.
Curtis was pledged to the Bulldogs but decommitted in mid-October. He’s still considering the Bulldogs as his possible destinations.
