Hridayapoorvam – Here’s when Mohanlal will join sets of Sathyan Anthikad movie with Malavika Mohanan

Hridayapoorvam marks the reunion between Mohanlal and Sathyan Anthikad after almost a decade. In the latest update, the film, which is produced by Aashirvad Cinemas, is set to begin shooting on February 10 in Kochi with Mohanlal set to join later. Malavika Mohanan has been roped in as the female lead, replacing Aishwarya Lekshmi.

All about Mohanlal’s Hridayapoorvam

Sathyan Anthikad and Mohanlal, who have delivered iconic films such as Nadodikkattu and Varavelppu, are reuniting for Hridayapoorvam. The Malayalam film will start shooting on February 10, with Mohanlal, who is awaiting the release of L2 Empuraan, expected to join the rest of the cast on February 14. The film was earlier slated to begin shooting in December 2024.

Sangeeth Prathap of Premalu fame and Siddique are also reported to be part of the cast. Sangita Madhavan Nair, best known for her moving performance in Chinthavishtayaya Shyamala, will also be joining the Mohanlal-starrer.

The film is touted to be a family entertainer, which will have music by Justin Prabhakaran and cinematography by Anu Moothedath. Sonu TP has penned the screenplay and dialogues for the movie.

The film will also have a schedule in Pune, which is expected to begin later in March 2025.

Mohanlal-Sathyan Anthikad films

Mohanlal and Sathyan Anthikad last collaborated on Ennum Eppozhum, also starring Manju Warrier, which was released in 2015. The Malayalam superstar and acclaimed filmmaker have done several films together that have gained a large fan following over the years.

Nadodikkattu, Varavelpu, Pattanapravesam, Sanmanassullavarkku Samadhanam, and Gandhinagar 2nd Street are some of the films from the 1980s that remain popular to this day. They later collaborated on movies such as Pingami, Rasathanthram, and Snehaveedu.

On the other hand, Mohanlal is now gearing up for the release of L2 Empuraan, directed by Prithviraj. The film, which also stars Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier, and Indrajith, is slated for a grand release on March 27, 2025.

The teaser of the much-awaited film was released recently and took the internet by storm.
