Minor hockey provincials well underway

Hockey Saskatchewan provincial games got underway last week around the province.

In Kindersley on Wednesday, the U18 Klippers won their opener against the Waldheim U18 Junior Outlaws. After a tight game through the first two periods, Kindersley pulled ahead in the third, scoring twice early. Goalie Carson Fortin made key saves in the final frame to help secure the victory. Game 2 was cancelled on Friday due to the inclement weather and rescheduled for tonight.

In an exhibition game, the U15 provincial team got off to a good start defeating North Battleford 4-3. Logan Ady, Graidy Bleile, Maddox Garrett and Kohen Henry all scored in the win.

When we shared the brackets last week there were no games scheduled. Find an update below for each local team in provincials, keeping in mind that if game three is needed, a third and final mini game will be played immediately after Game #2.
