Michael B. Jordan Plays Twins in New Vampire Movie

Michael B. Jordan’s upcoming movie Sinners has released a new official trailer. The vampire flick will see Jordan portraying twin brothers who find themselves facing a terrible evil.

Sinners is written and directed by Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Ryan Coogler (Black Panther, Creed), with Jordan starring as two brothers trying to leave their troubled lives behind. When they return to their hometown for a fresh start, they discover an even greater evil waiting to welcome them back. Hailee Steinfeld (Bumblebee, True Grit), Jack O’Connell (Ferrari), Wunmi Mosaku (Passenger), Jayme Lawson (The Woman King), Omar Miller (True Lies) and Delroy Lindo (Da 5 Bloods) star in the film alongside Jordan. The film will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, with a U.S. theatrical run starting April 18, and internationally beginning April 16.

Sinners was originally planned for release on March 7, 2025 — but it was recently delayed to April, swapping release dates with Bong Joon-ho’s science fiction black comedy film Mickey 17 starring Robert Pattinson. Filming for the movie occurred from April to July 2024 and was filmed on-location in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Sinners continues Coogler and Jordan’s long-running collaborations in film. All five feature-length films that Coogler has directed have featured Jordan, including both Black Panther and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, where Jordan plays the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s N’Jadaka / Erik “Killmonger” Stevens. Coogler’s feature-length debut film, 2013’s Fruitvale Station, also starred Jordan, and the film won awards at both the Sundance Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.

Jordan to Helm Upcoming Creed 4 Film

Besides his role in the Black Panther franchise, Jordan is best known for playing boxer Adonis Creed in 2015’s Creed and its two sequels. The release of Creed III in 2023 also marked Jordan’s directorial debut. The film received positive reviews, with Jordan’s direction and performance both praised. Creed III was also a box office success, pulling in $276 million and becoming the highest grossing of the three Creed films. The films are a spin-off of Sylvester Stallone’s long-running Rocky franchise, based on the life of the boxer Rocky Balboa.

Following Creed III‘s success, a fourth film was announced to be in the works at the end of 2023, but it was likely delayed due to the WGA strike. Irwin Winkler, one of the producers of the Creed films, confirmed that Jordan would return to direct and presumably star in the feature film. “We think we have a really good story, a good plot,” Winkler said. Creed 4 doesn’t have a release date yet, but according to Winkler’s plans for the film in 2023, it should enter pre-production in the near future.

Sinners will hit theaters in the U.S. on April 18.
