Arjun Ashokan, Mathew Thomas, and Mahima Nambiar promise a chaotic comedy

The Bromance trailer begins with a call made to Binto (Mathew Thomas) by Shabeer (Arjun Ashokan), who informs him that their friend Shinto is missing and asks him to come to Kochi urgently. The 2.27-minute trailer is divided into various chapters with ‘Chapter 1 The Missing Bro’ showing the duo reaching out to the police

‘Chapter 02 Ex Girlfriend’ then talks about Aishwarya or Aishu with Mahima Nambiar entering the scene, and rendering dialogues in classic Kasaragod slang of Malayalam. For those of you who haven’t watched Mahima’s interviews, the RDX actress is from Kasaragod and it is a pleasure to hear her rattle out dialogues in the dialect.

‘Chapter 03 The Hacker’ introduces Sangeeth Prathap as Hariharasudhan, the ethical hacker. With Chapter 04 Courier Babu and Chapter 05 Kodava Gang, the trailer moves into fast mode as chaos ensues and it literally is free for all. We also see glimpses of Kalabhavan Shajohn, Binu Pappu, and Shyam Mohan.

There is also a reference to Mammootty’s Kannur Squad as the friends urge the police to find the missing person. All in all, the Bromance trailer looks promising, as the lead actors amp up the fun in this film, which promises loads of laughter with a good measure of chaos thrown in.

The attempt to have chapters in the trailer looked interesting but 5 of such titles looked a bit too much in a 2.17-minute trailer. Also, we would have liked to see more of Mahima and Shyam Mohan of Premalu fame in the trailer.

The film, directed by Arun D Jose, is scheduled to release in theatres on February 14, 2025. 

The film is backed by Ashiq Usman under his Ashiq Usman Productions banner, which had previously produced Tovino Thomas’ Thallumaala. The 2022 film, which also featured Kalyani Priyadarshan, is especially noted for its peppy songs, and stylish making.
