Kaos GL Association asked the Ministry of Family and Social Services what the ministry does to support LGBTI+s in poverty and subjected to violence.
Kaos GL Association made an information request to the Ministry of Family and Social Services.
In the information request made through the Presidential Communication Centre (CIMER), the association asked whether the ministry is working to identify and support LGBTI+s living in poverty.
In addition, in the information acquisition application made by the association, it was among the questions directed to the ministry whether there is a special regulation to increase the access of LGBTI+s to social services and aids carried out by the ministry.
In the application for information on whether there is a special protocol or support mechanism for calls made by LGBTI+ victims of violence to the Alo 183 Social Support Line, statistics on the number and content of calls made by LGBTI+s were requested.
Another title in the application for obtaining information was whether the social service personnel of the ministry were informed on issues related to LGBTI+ rights. In its application, the association asked “Are there any trainings on LGBTI+ issues provided to the social service personnel of your ministry? ’ and asked for the content of the programme and the number of personnel receiving training.
