In Delhi, the broom’s straws are scattering even before the voting: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi while addressing a BJP election rally in RK Puram constituency in Delhi remarked that in Delhi, the broom’s straws are scattering even before the voting. It was a jibe at many AAP leaders leaving the party before the upcoming 2025 Assembly elections. It may be noted that broom is the election symbol of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

“In Delhi, the broom’s straws are scattering even before the voting. The leaders of AAP are leaving it, they have realized how angry the people are with AAP on the ground. AAP has become so scared of the anger of the people of Delhi that it is making false announcements every hour. It is a different matter that the mask of AAP has been removed in front of the people of Delhi,” Modi said.

The PM pointed out how, ahead of the elections, the AAP-da government is crumbling as its own leaders are leaving, realizing the growing discontent among Delhiites. “For 10 years, they have sought votes on the same false promises. But now, Delhi will no longer tolerate these lies,” he declared.

PM Modi spoke about the recently presented Union Budget, calling it a people-centric budget that strengthens four key pillars – Garib, Kisan, Yuva, and Nari Shakti. He reiterated how Modi Ki Guarantee ensures free ration, healthcare, and pucca houses for the poor, “unlike past governments that squandered national resources in scams.” The budget also boosts the Make in India initiative, making essential goods like clothing, shoes, TVs, and mobile phones more affordable

Recognizing the vital contribution of the middle class to India’s growth, PM Modi emphasized how the BJP respects honest taxpayers and rewards them. “For the first time in history, individuals earning up to ₹12 lakh will pay zero income tax, saving them thousands of rupees,” he announced.

PM Modi assured the crowd that the BJP stands with the urban poor, introducing new initiatives to uplift them. Under the PM SVANidhi Yojana, street vendors will now be provided with a special ₹30,000 credit card to expand their businesses.

PM Modi urged every Delhiite to come out and vote on February 5 to free the capital from AAP-da’s misrule. In conclusion, he reaffirmed, “With Modi Ki Guarantee, we will make Delhi a shining symbol of a Viksit Bharat,” as the crowd roared in support.
