ABS appoints Sameer Karimbhai as General Counsel

Global satellite operator ABS (Agility Beyond Space) has announced the appointment of Sameer Karimbhai as its new General Counsel, bringing over 15 years of legal expertise in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, finance, governance and regulatory compliance across the satellite, telecommunications, and energy industries.

Karimbhai joins ABS following his role at Eutelsat Communications, where he served as OneWeb’s General Counsel and Group Company Secretary. During his tenure, he played a key role in securing over $4bn in equity and debt funding, navigating OneWeb’s Chapter 11 restructuring, and facilitating its $6.8bn merger with Eutelsat. His extensive experience in managing legal teams, advising executive leadership, and overseeing complex corporate transactions will be instrumental as ABS pursues its growth strategy.
