Beale Street Music Festival’s best performances: Share your favorites

Memphis in May has announced that its Beale Street Music Festival would be returning in 2026.

Memphis in May officials are still trying to decide where the festival will take place, as its former home of Tom Lee Park on the Mississippi riverfront now hosts the annual RiverBeat Music Festival each May.   

It also remains to be seen whether Beale Street Music Fest — which was suspended by Memphis in May in 2024 and 2025 after years of diminishing attendance and financial losses — will be able replicate the success it enjoyed during its first four decades.

The glory years of music fest did provide many notable moments and memories for Memphians. The Commercial Appeal wants to know who some of your all-time favorite Beale Street Music Festival performers were.
