Of the 1mn passengers, 112,000 traveled on domestic flights, while the remaining 894,000 flew internationally. In 2023, the airline carried over 787,600 passengers.

Russia remained the airline’s primary market, with 51% of its passenger flow in 2024 originating from the country. Somon Air operates flights to six Russian cities: Kazan, Moscow, Novosibirsk, Samara, St. Petersburg, and Yekaterinburg.

Beyond Russia, Somon Air expanded its international network, offering regular and transit flights to destinations including China, Georgia, Germany, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, and Uzbekistan. Notably, the airline launched new flights from Dushanbe to Doha, Qatar, in late November.

In total, the airline completed 3,313 scheduled flights in 2024, a 20.3% increase from the previous year. Cargo traffic also saw a rise, with a 41% increase, reaching 1,451 tons of freight and 10.5 tons of mail.

Somon Air’s fleet currently includes two Boeing 737-900s, four Boeing 737-800s, two Mil Mi-8 heavy helicopters, and an Airbus H125 light rotorcraft. Additionally, in January 2024, the airline signed an agreement with UAE-based leasing company DAE Capital to acquire two new Boeing 737MAX-8 aircraft, which will join the fleet in 2026. These new additions will support the airline’s route network expansion.

Somon Air representatives will be available for further insights at MRO Central Asia 2025, the region’s largest aircraft maintenance conference and exhibition, set to take place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on March 18–19, 2025.
