CBSE Board Exams 2025 begin today: Delhi Metro makes special arrangements for over 3 lakh students headed to exam centres – Details inside – Infrastructure News
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced special measures to facilitate hassle-free travel for students appearing for the CBSE Board Examinations 2025. With exams for Classes 10 and 12 scheduled from February 15 to April 4, Delhi Metro will provide priority frisking and ticketing to students heading to their exam centres.
This year, nearly 42 lakh students are set to take the exams across 7,842 centres in India and 26 international locations.
In a post on X, DMRC stated that approximately 3.30 lakh students and thousands of school staff will be commuting across the city during the exam period. In collaboration with CISF, Delhi Metro will implement special facilitation measures at metro stations to accommodate the increased rush.
To avail these facilities, students must show their CBSE admit cards at security checks, DMRC said. In another measure, Delhi metro staff have visited schools and interacted with principals to inform them about the nearest metro stations and available support for students.
The DMRC said that centralised announcements will also be made across metro stations to guide students. To further assist examinees, DMRC has uploaded a list of metro stations closest to examination centres on its website and mobile app. “DMRC urges students to plan their travel in advance and wishes all candidates the very best for their examinations,” it further wrote on X.
As per the CBSE 2025 date sheet, the Class 10 exams will begin on February 15 with English papers, while Class 12 students will appear for the entrepreneurship paper on the same day. The CBSE officials have also informed that students will not be permitted to enter the examination centres post 10 am and will leave before 1.30 pm.
