Kelani Cables achieves prestigious Authorised Economic Operator Tier I certification

Kelani Cables PLC, a leading manufacturer and exporter of electrical cables, has been awarded the prestigious Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) Tier I status by Sri Lanka Customs. 

This esteemed certification is a recognition of the company’s strong commitment to maintaining high levels of legal and operational compliance, as well as ensuring robust supply chain security.

Kelani Cables PLC’s involvement in the AEO Tier I program also aligns with its ongoing contributions to the local economy through foreign exchange earnings, solidifying its status as a key player in Sri Lanka’s export sector. As a company engaged in both manufacturing and international trade, Kelani Cables remains dedicated to upholding the highest standards in the import and export processes, as outlined by Sri Lanka Customs.

The AEO Agreement was signed by Kelani Cables PLC CEO Dr. Anil Munasinghe, on behalf of the company, marking a significant achievement in its continued growth and success in the global market.

With the AEO Tier I certification now in place, Kelani Cables PLC reaffirms its position as a trusted and reliable partner in the global supply chain, further demonstrating its commitment to best practices in compliance, security, and operational excellence.

The AEO certification, which adheres to the criteria and recommendations set forth by the World Customs Organization, is internationally recognised and serves to enhance the company’s operations in the global marketplace. With exports to over 10 countries, Kelani Cables PLC will now benefit from streamlined customs processes, reduced inspections, and expedited clearance procedures, all of which contribute to enhanced efficiency in international trade.
