Lincoln University to launch online MSN program in fall 2025 | Mid-Missouri News

Lincoln University has announced the launch of a Master of Science in nursing program beginning in the fall, becoming the only historically Black college and university (HBCU) in Missouri to offer this advanced degree, according to a news release from LU.

The 12-month program offers two specialized tracks, nurse educator and nurse leadership, combining online coursework with in-person clinical requirements.

“We are excited to expand our successful undergraduate nursing program,” School of Nursing department head Jennifer McCord said in a news release. “Our Master of Science in nursing program leverages our supportive HBCU environment and online convenience to create a pathway to success for advancing RNs.”

Graduates will be eligible for national certification as either a certified nurse educator or a certified nurse manager and leader. The curriculum emphasizes leadership, evidence-based practice and patient-centered care, according to a news release. No graduate record examination is required for admission.

Applications for the fall 2025 cohort are currently being accepted.
