400 athletes march in Karakol to promote healthy lifestyle

AKIPRESS.COM – A parade of athletes took place in Karakol town of Issyk-Kul region on April 6 on the occasion of the professional holiday of physical culture and sports workers of Kyrgyz Republic.

The Friendly Cup was organized with participation of 335 athletes from 9 children and youth sports schools who competed in football, volleyball, archery, and darts.

As a result, Issyk-Kul Children and Youth Sports School won first place in darts, Tyup Children and Youth Sports School won the archery competition, the Ton Children and Youth Sports School won a volleyball contest, and Issyk-Kul Children and Youth Sports School won football competition.

Winners were awarded with cups, certificates, and medals.

In order to attract residents’ attention to sports and promotion of healthy lifestyle, some 400 athletes marched from the stadium to the central streets of Karakol.
