Gaza Health Ministry: 5 deaths, including two children, due to famine, malnutrition in past 24 hours
Gaza – Saba:
The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Friday that hospitals in the Strip recorded the deaths of five Palestinian citizens, including two children, as a result of famine and malnutrition in the past 24 hours.
The Ministry indicated in a statement that this brings the total number of victims of famine and malnutrition to 322, including 121 children.
The Ministry stated that since the UN officially declared a famine in the Gaza Strip on August 22, 44 deaths have been recorded, including six children.
Palestinians in the Gaza Strip have been facing an unprecedented wave of hunger since the Israeli enemy closed the Strip’s crossings in early March and imposed severe restrictions on the entry of food, relief aid, fuel, and medicine.
