Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the GDS post, candidates must meet certain eligibility requirements. The minimum age to apply is 18 years, and the maximum age is 40 years. Age relaxation is available for reserved categories as per government rules.
NIOS Class 10, 12 Practical Exam Schedule for March/April 2025 Session Released
Candidates must have passed Class 10 from a recognized board and must have studied Mathematics and English. Knowledge of the local language up to Class 10 is also required. Additionally, candidates should have basic computer skills.
The selection will be based on a merit list prepared using the Class 10th marks. The percentage will be calculated up to four decimal places for accuracy. There will be no written exam or interview as part of the selection process.
Salary and Benefits
Selected candidates will receive a good salary along with benefits such as GDS Gratuity and Service Discharge Benefit Scheme, which is like the National Pension System for regular employees.
- Branch Post Master (BPM): Rs 12,000 – Rs 29,380
- Assistant Branch Post Master (ABPM) / Dak Sevak: Rs 10,000 – Rs 24,470
