Bangalore City University Celebrates National Science Day
Bangalore City University (BCU) marked National Science Day with a celebration at Jnana Jyothi Auditorium on Friday. The event highlighted the crucial role of science and technology in the modern world.
BCU Vice-Chancellor Lingaraja Gandhi, urged the younger generation to develop a scientific mindset and shed ignorance and superstition. He highlighted the significance of science, recalling Nobel laureate Sir C.V. Raman’s groundbreaking research in 1928 at Central College.
Prof. Gandhi emphasised that fostering a scientific attitude and intellectual awareness is a key responsibility for every citizen, as outlined in the Constitution. During the event, he released a booklet titled Magic Children by BCU student Krupa B.M., which simplifies physics concepts in Kannada for young readers.
